About Adam

I'm Adam Banks, a horticulturist and the owner of Groundwork Horticulture.

My career has taken me from the gardens of the Arnold Arboretum and the landscapes of Central Park to managing horticultural operations here in Maine. Along the way, I've had the opportunity to work with everything from historic landscapes and woody plant collections to large-scale public parks, seasonal displays, and commercial properties.

Working in public parks has had a particularly strong influence on how I approach horticulture. These are landscapes used and seen by thousands of people, often with demanding maintenance needs and high expectations.

Groundwork Horticulture grew out of that experience and a desire to bring the same level of care and horticultural knowledge to commercial and residential properties. I work directly with clients to understand their landscapes and provide thoughtful, consistent care.
